What, you ask is an Avatar?  Ever wonder what those images are next to your comments?

According to Wikipedia:

An avatar (abbreviations include AV, ava, avie, avy, avi, avvie, avis, avies, avii, and avvy) is computer user’s representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games,[1] a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities,[2][3] or a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs. The term “avatar” can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user.[4]

You can create one for yourself.  It is easy to do.  Your own original AVATAR is so much more attractive than just January ’s Jessicurl Contest Winner Announced « Mythbuster Beauty.

That image is just BORING people, too BORING!

If you are registered with Wordpress, go to your profile page and download your favorite picture.  If you don’t have a picture you like, there are several online sources to help you create one.

One such site is called “Create Your Own Avatar” by Andrea Pokrzywinski.  On her site, she can help by directing you on Avatar building.

Once you’ve created one; come back and make a comment!  Kind of our own version of Avatar “Show and Tell.”
