In response to the post on the upcoming Sephora Friends and Family Event (Nov. 6-10th), Tracy wants to make sure we have our facts right. Enter FF2008 for 20% off your entire purchase!

“I went to the Westfield Valley Fair Sephora this morning, and the gals there told me the in-store promo is on the 17th only. They had no idea about the online promo. Anyone have any more info on this??”

“I did leave with only one lipstick, but two pages of stuff written down to order online for friends and family!! (Which lipstick did you end up with?) Any info on the following, Jen:

BE Buxom lipgloss - I give it mixed reviews. I bought this in Vanessa, somewhat thick and difficult to apply, but has beautiful full color and great staying power. I like the tingly feel too!
Fresh firebird mascara- Apparently this mascara is the BOMB! Kate from Megsmakeup.com loves it.
Nars cheek color - The only blush I have tried from NARS is the big “O” and I thought it was too shimmery for my personal taste. Here’s Bionic Beauty’s review of NARS cream blush in the Multiple.
Make-up Forever HD Powder kit - Sorry, can’t help you on this one.
or the
Cargo Reverse Lipliner - Sounds intriguing, but also don’t know anything about it.

Anyone else have an opinion on these items? What is on your “must have list” from Sephora?

My list is pretty modest compared to most, I would imagine.
1. Sephora Brand waterproof eye makeup remover. It doesn’t irritate my skin and works really well for me.
2. Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliner pencil set in VIP
3. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
4. Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Sellout

That is a modest list. I am definitely buying a Caudalie skincare kit and possibly the Korres kit in Sugar Plum, so pretty!

And maybe some Urban Decay…

It’s a good thing you mentioned the F&F deal, because I had my cart loaded and ready to go! A new tube of Korres foundation, Make Up Forever HD powder, Juice Green Apple Peel, and a couple other little fun thing. The two things I want the most are out of stock!! Isn’t that just the way it goes?
I considered a brush set, but I’m holding out for an Urban Decay deal because their Taklon brushes are the stuff!

I guess everyone else had the same idea I did and jumped online at midnight to finish shopping. The site was down for about 15 minutes, but when I finally got in they had the Lash Stash back in stock! Yessss! Got booted off two more times but I finally managed to get my order in.

I have not tried any of the hair straightening techniques before, but I have been tempted as well! One line that caught my attention was a Brazilian Keratin Treatment (and wrote about them at this post). For now I am remaining curly!

I have a friend who did the Japanese straightening for years while living overseas. She loved the results, but said that getting it done for years on end was hard on her hair. Maybe not something to do ALL the time, but it might be nice every now and then. I desperately want to take Tracy for a Keratin treatment! Check out the before and afters at

I missed the online coupon! I didn’t know it was for only 4 days. Do they usually do another special near Christmas? I remember getting the coupon around this time last year from my mom’s work, but I don’t know if they only had the one. I’m so angry with myself.

I’m so sorry Celene! I think you are right that there are a few Sephora promotions that come around Christmastime, and I will keep my eyes OPEN for them.
