Michele,
I am SO happy you had such great results from this! I'm glad to hear the perspective of someone with a different skin type and it sounds like it went great.
It is such a thrill to hear someone find something that brings them joy and makes then feel "mav-lous", that's what we're here for!

I can't tell you how many jars of mineral make up I have in my drawer! I even ordered some samples the day I won your contest from the body shop! The samples ended up looking caked when I applied them on, even with very little.

But, after using the body shop, all the others went into the trash! At first, I was skeptical about the Moss green eye shadow, but, after putting it on, I loved it. And now, after watching the video you provided about foiling, I am even more pleased. I look, MAV-LOUS! I remember trying to use water years ago...big mistake when it cracked off, oh that was embarrassing!

But, the Body Shop Minerals, gave me great coverage on my mature, spotty skin, with just a small amount. As it blends with the oils of my skin it takes on a glow that does not look oily. The others just seemed to fade off, and the Body Shop minerals stayed fresh looking for hours. It felt like I was not wearing anything at all! I kept looking to see if I had to apply more, as I always do...but, did not have to! So glad not to have to pile on concealers, or green stuff to hide the red blotches! And the blush is perfect for my pale, pale skin. Gives me just a kiss of color and does not look like the dark, dark colors that the other mineral companies seem to have only one color of.

I am so hooked on this brand now. Shame to throw all those others away....NOT! Thank you so much, especially for the tips! You made this Ol' lady look young again and freed up a drawer in my vanity for more colors of shadow.

Here is to looking good for the holidays ladies!!

In my day we called it using your shadows wet, but it's been fine tuned a lot since then!
http://www.makeupgeek.com/tutorials/how-to-foil-pigments/
Same concept as when I started doing it, but the color is no longer mixed with water. Instead you can use eye drops, liquid primers, or a home mixed glycerin/distilled water solution. Still gives eye color the metallic pop, but with better staying power than water...
I was ahead of my time I tell ya!

I had a very similar experience while using their mineral foundation, a bit too much shine on my forehead and oily spots, but overall performed better than other mineral makeups I have tried.

I really loved this blush in Rose Quartz and eyeshadow in radiant graphite (like your point of using this as both a highlighter and an eye color). I am going to have to check in with our winner from last month and hear her thoughts as well!

It sounds like you found some great products :)
I'd wondered how the Body Shop's mineral makeup line was, so it's nice to hear that it's good.

If the eye shadows are too sheer for you, you can always try foiling them if you like that style, that will make them pop.

And I'm with you on baby 'bukis, they're great!
