I have naturally curly hair. I have always hated it and even when I embraced it, I hated it because I could never get it to look like any one else's. Ever. Even now. I've been (trying) to use a straightner on it and it sort of works. Sort of. Mostly my hair just looks messy, which really doesn't work with the style I'd like to project.

HOWEVER from the photos I've seen, your hair looks WONDERFUL and so do you!

Big hugs!! I am so glad you have found some relief. And you might be surprised at how many people might be jealous of *you* and your curls, too.

I have very fine, curly and sort-of sparse hair (thanks Dad!) and I have heard so much about "fixing" my hair for the past 28 years. Some have even commented that in some lights, I seem to have bald spots... For the last year I decided to stop dying my hair so often and styling it so it looked like "normal". I feel alot better with my hair now than I have ever felt in years.
On a side note, my mother was born with pale blond hair and she told me that when and where she was born, they used to shave babies with blond hair until darker hair grew instead. She was lucky and her parents didn't do that. (One of the reasons why I think the people from there are all mad).

Great to hear from another Curly Girl! You are so right, everyday your hair is a little different using the curly method. Kind of cool to just let it be. Curls Rock!
