Attention fans of Jessicurl’s naturally curly haircare products!
Tonight, Wednesday Feb. 25th, Jess McGuinty is going to start DJing a World Music Show called, “Global Grooves” that will be featured on an awesome radio station, KHUM 104.7 FM • 104.3 FM (radio without the rules).
Yep, you read that right! Next Wednesday, Feb. 25, my new World Music
show debuts on KHUM radio at 6pm Pacific time. Global Grooves will air
every Wednesday night from 6-8pm and I’ll play all sorts of great tunes
from all over the world. Since the first show airs the day after
Carnival ends I’ll pay special attention to Caribbean, Calypso and
other booty-shakin’ party music. (Feb. 25 also happens to be my 33rd
birthday, so this will be an awesome birthday for sure!)
For those of you who don’t know, KHUM, aka “Radio Without The Rules†is
THE COOLEST radio station ever. One of the last free-form stations
around, they play awesome music that you won’t hear everywhere and all
of the air staff is SUPER passionate about what they do. I’ve been a
fan since moving to Humboldt 5 years ago and am really stoked to get
the chance to do this show. The best part is that they have a free web
stream at www.KHUM.com so no matter where you are on the planet, you
can tune in. For you locals, you can find it on the dial at 104.3 and
104.7
You can listen to Jessicurl’s Global Grooves program by going to the KHUM webpage and play their free web
stream stream right from your very own computer!
We all are so STOKED for you Jess and wish you the best! I’ll be listening every Wednesday night, that’s for sure!

You’re the coolest. I’m super excited for my show to start tonight and really honored that you’re planing on listening. I take requests!
Wheeeeeee!
Have a great day and thanks again!
Jess
Jess your show was incredible! Loved the music from Senegal.
Keep up the fantastic work at Jessicurl and with KHUM!
That’s so great to know. College radio stations used to fill that sort of niche, but they’re few and far between these days and we don’t have one in our area. Thanks for the online link, I’ll be sure to tune in next week. Happy Birthday Jess!
Here in SLC, my go to station is 90.9 (KRCL) http://www.krcl.org – similiar philosophy and music as KHUM.
Mid-day with Ebay Jamil Hamilton, so fine.
