In Alaska we call this time of year breakup. That’s because, after a long winter trapped inside together, couples are so sick of one another that they break up. Okay, I admit it, that’s just one of the things we tell ousiders for a quick laugh. It’s actually called breakup because that’s when the snow and ice starts to melt and recede. All the dirt and yuck buried under the snow starts to surface and keeping your car/pants/shoes clean is an impossible task. Yet through the grime and the sludge, signs of spring begin to appear. A hint of greenery, a tiny bud on a branch, a little bit of hope for brighter things in the future. And so, in honor of the huge mud puddle in my driveway, I give you “Breakup”:

I started with Urban Decay Cream shadow in “Mushroom“. I’ve figured out the best way for me to use these creams is to apply it, hit it with a cool blast from my hair dryer for some quick drying, and then lightly tap it with my finger to blend it a little and soften the edges. I added UD matte shadow in “Chronic” (also strangely fitting for Alaska), and “Vapor“ under my brow. I felt like it lacked a little something so I added a shot of Too Faced Starry-Eyed liquid liner in “Gold Digger”. A touch of Benefit “Coralista” blush and Vis-a-Vis Lip Cuddle in “Pink Kiss” and there you have it, a look that’s sure to beat the breakup blues, er, grays.

Yep, that’s beautiful. You’re very good at blending.
Very, very pretty Mo!
Benefit’s Coralista is beautiful with your skin tone and the lipstick shade works well for you too!
I love it!
Love the hair, too
I was really iffy about spring’s big coral blush trend, because it usually looks too orange on my skin, but Coralista is fantastic. And it’s not too heavily pigmented, so it’s easy to get the perfect amount of color.
I love that blush on you, Mo!! And the eye makeup is supah-fly!
I’m totally copping those eyes tomorrow. Loverly, Mo.
