Oh the places and people the Internet will take you! I have gathered so many great friends while researching and reading from many sites (beauty related and in general). Every once in a while, you will come across someone who not only shares the passion for all things beautiful, you find an individual who creates something extraordinary!
Let me introduce to you Christy Kane, her amazing website and some of wonderful things she has to offer!
Inspired by Christy’s dolls and stories the Chiodo Bros created a short animated film “Callalilly” which is a cautionary tale of the Kane sisters!  Callalilly’s Tale is taken from Christy’s book, “Tales of the Sisters Kane“ which is a collection of 4 tales about the dolls & on a fun side note, all the dolls from the book have cameo’s in Callalilly!  In a similar way to  one of our favorite Roald Dahl classics Matilda, Christy Kane incorporates a powerful moral in this story of a young girl who wishes to master the piano:
A temper if not tamed,
can leave a little rag doll mamed.
Please dear viewer whatever you do, don’t let your temper get the best of you!!!
You can watch the complete film of Callalilly on YouTube at this link. This film immediately became near and dear to me and my five daughters, and if you love Tim Burton or Roald Dahl, you will be sure to love Christy Kane’s Callalilly (and her many friends and sisters, especially Clarabelle and Annabelle)!
Christy handcrafts her dolls and sells several products (including very cool tees and stickers) at the Christy Kane Etsy Shoppe!  She reports that her dolls usually take five days to make individually (depending on how much caffeine or sugar she consumes)!
Loving you Christy Kane, and so happy to have bumped into you.  I’ll try to keep my temper, promise!

That is so cool! You guys look so cute doing the little anime thing in your picture.
I don’t remember when or how I stumbled across this, but I immediately loved the aesthete of the movie and the Christy Kane creations. Fantastic stuff!!
What a lovely write up on the amazingly talented Christy Kane! Jen, if we ever meet in person we can be twinsies, as I have the exact same shirt – yay! I love that your girls enjoy Christy’s books and film so much. “Tales of the Sisters Kane” has a special place on my “good” bookshelf and I can not say enough about how beautiful and incredible her dolls are. The eyes of each doll are always exquisite and expressive and all the little details will completely charm you.
