Purely Cosmetics birthday bash!

In addition to being a total cosmetics junkie, I am also a closet geek, and I love technology. Things with wires and buttons and screens get me all atingle, I just can’t help myself. One of my favorite sites for all that glorious geekiness is Woot.com, and all of its subdivivsions (shirt.woot? genius). Anyhow, the basic premise of woot is that they sell one item every day, for 24 hours or until it sells out. But sometimes, sometimes, you get lucky and there’s a woot-off. During a woot-off they run item after item until they sell out. This goes on for an unknown amount of time, and you kind of have to be at your computer for the whole thing unless you want to risk missing out on a screamin deal.

Lucky for us, Robyn, the lady in charge of everything over at Purely Cosmetics, is also a wooter, and she’s decided to do something for her birthday that’s inspired by the joy a woot-off brings. Here are the details straight from her computer to yours:
Go figure this: I’m not a fan of celebrating my birthday with parties and such – take me out to dinner so that I don’t have to cook, and I’m happy. But every year, I do something special on the site to celebrate. As you know, my birthday is coming up next Thursday, when I’ll be having one of those birthdays that end in “0″ – and a number that when doubled, I’m pretty much assured of not being alive. So that kicks out my 30^th and 40^th.
Trying to come up with something new and different, I’m stealing from Woot, and having a sale similar to a Woot-Off. I’ll randomly put things on sale – they will all have something to do with 50 (50% off, buy something, get something else free, etc). How long that item will remain on sale will be totally at my whim. Could be 50 minutes, could be a few hours, maybe 50 seconds. Then that sale item is no longer available at the special price, and something else will be.

Not to worry if you buy multiple items from multiple specials – if it gets shipped all together, you’ll be refunded any extra shipping charges you were billed for.

A little bird told me  that we can expect a deal on the Diamond Perfect Finish, AND that Garden Girl and Jeune d’âge Organics are sending some skincare goodies to be included. Um, hello? Awesome! I am so excited for this fantastic event from Purely Cosmetics, what a fun way to stock up on all your favorites and try something new. I’m in for a day of cosmetics shopping fun, who else is coming?!
