Funny that I come across this. I am interested in starting my own line and I think I might have stumbled across a company that makes MAC’s blushes or some of them. The colors and names of some are similar. Funny how we overpay for a name when the product is the same. Guess cuz we trust a company.

I’d say $16 is my cut off as well. That being said, there’s always a bad day or an amazing color that can change my mind. I actually haven’t bought lipgloss in a while. I’m typically on a foundation, blush or eye shadow kick.

Funny, one of my favorite glosses is from Bath & Body Works of all places! It’s a CO Bigelow gloss with peppermint oil in it to freshen your breath — I have a plum one that is just enough color to make my pale skin look healthy. And it was about $5!

I’m also going through all of my old stuff to see what I’ve forgotten about. I found Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey — light and looks good on almost everyone. And actually Sephora exclusively sells a lip gloss/balm in the same color — which is awesome as well!

I bought Hard Candy liquid eye liner in black and it does stays all day long!!! no smudge, just the purrrrfect liquid eyeliner for me! love all Hard Candy products, I have no complaints
oh and I love their product designs, the choice of colors, very original!

I start to shy away from glosses when they get over $10. Then again, I’m more of a drugstore beauty anyway. I’ll still consider under $20, but over that is getting ridiculous.

You’re right, we don’t often realize just how expensive all those glosses can get and of course we need so many different colors! Nice link to that discount site as well, great find!
